10TV Becomes First Columbus TV Station To Offer iPhone App

COLUMBUS, Ohio — WBNS-10TV on Tuesday became the first Columbus television station to offer an iPhone app.

Users can now download the 10TV app on iTunes and then follow 10TV News, 10TV.com for news updates, along with real-time traffic and weather information.

The best part of the iPhone app is it's free.

Users who don't have iPhones can still get 10TVToGo information on their wireless devices.

The launch came at a time when much of Ohio was placed under a high wind warning for Wednesday.

When remnants of Hurricane Ike went through central Ohio in September 2008, 10TVToGo traffic spiked. The site contained information about power outages and emergency weather resources.
