POSITION: Youth WEB CORPS Job Coach/Mentor, Part-Time, Temporary
Youth WEB CORPS PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Youth WEB CORPS is a collaborative effort between Lead the Way and TECH CORPS Ohio. Youth WEB CORPS is a six week “summer job experience” for Franklin County
TANF-eligible, in-school youth, ages 14-18 years old. This experience is designed to strengthen students’ web development, project management and professionalism skills and to apply those skills in the authentic task of building a website for a small business or organization located in Franklin County. Students work 20/hours a week and earn $8.00/hour.
Eligible youth apply to participate in the program and are assigned to one of the Youth WEB CORPS locations. Each cohort (25 students) is supported by a Lead Job Coach/Mentor and an Assistant Job Coach/Mentor. Job Coach/Mentors meet with their students Monday – Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (depending on the location.) The Youth WEB CORPS work experience runs from June 28, 2010 to August 6, 2010.
Position Summary: 6 week Temporary Assignment:
June 28th -August 6th, 2010, 8:00am – 1:00pm or 12:30pm – 5:30pm (depending on location); plus two Orientation Sessions (June 23, 8:00am – 12:00pm and June 24, 8:00am – 4:00pm) and Client Orientation Session (July 8, 6:00pm – 7:30pm)
Hours/Wage: Lead Job Coach/Mentor: $30.00/hour -- 25/hours a week (additional responsibilities include administrative tasks/paperwork)
Assistant Job Coach/Mentor: $25.00/hour -- 25/hours a week
