Special event - AITP - Agile in the Workplace - June 23 - AITP Columbus Chapter

Agile in the Workplace | AITP Columbus Chapter

Is Agile the Next Big Thing or Just the Latest Fad?

Join Daryl Kulak of Pillar Technology for an orientation to the world of Agile software development. If Agile were a marketing campaign, it would certainly be a winner. But does it really work? Daryl will provide a side-by-side comparison between the techniques we use in traditional lifecycles and techniques from Agile. We will discuss questions like, “When is Agile appropriate to use,” “What are the weaknesses of the Agile approach,” and “Where does someone get started with gaining Agle knowledge?”

This will be a very interactive discussion, so please bring up your questions throughout the talk.

About Daryl Kulak:

Daryl Kulak is a speaker, author, and consultant with Pillar Technology in Columbus, Ohio. Daryl has worked with Agile and iterative/incremental processes for over a decade, and is currently helping his clients transform their organizations to use these lifecycles. Daryl is the co-author of “Use Cases: Requirements in Context” (Addison Wesley, 2003), which has sold over 30,000 copies in three languages. He is also co-author of the upcoming book “Agile in the Bloodstream: Creating a Change-Ready Team using the Power of Systems Thinking.” Daryl is a dynamic presenter and enjoys finding novel ways to present ideas.
