While several major automakers are promising to introduce electric cars in the near future, a small company in Tallmadge, Ohio, south of Cleveland, is already producing the vehicles.

Myers Motors is one of the few producers of all-electric highway-legal cars in the
country.

Nissan and General Motors have announced plans to introduce electric cars later this year, and Tesla Motors Inc. of San Carlos, Calif., is already selling all-electric sports cars. Most other car manufacturers have announced plans to eventually release an electric model.
