About e-Cycle
e-Cycle was founded in 2004 in Columbus, Ohio by Chris and Tonia Irion. Both had worked in the technology field for many years—Chris as a project manager for EMC, Oracle, and Arthur Andersen; Tonia for Hewlett-Packard. As the couple began to think about starting their own business, they sought to combine their passions for technology and the environment in a way that would also allow them to give back to the community. After considering many business ideas, they became aware of the urgent, unmet need for wireless recycling.
From humble means, the company has grown very rapidly and is now the industry leader in corporate cell phone disposal. The company’s values of outstanding customer service, professionalism, and environmental education remain the same as they were in the beginning. Helping the environment and giving back to the community through charities continue to be major aspects of e-Cycle’s mission. With a promising future, the company hopes to continue growing and establishing high standards in this young, yet expanding industry
