IT Manager opening - Society of Chest Pains Centers (SCPC)

The Society of Chest Pains Centers (SCPC) is a non-profit, international society dedicated to the belief that heart disease can be eliminated as the number one cause of death worldwide.  In order to spread best practices and processes in heart care, the Society promotes protocol-based medicine and the adoption of process improvement science by healthcare providers
To support its rapid and on-going growth, SCPC desires to hire a full-time IT manager. 
The IT manager will be an individual contributor with the ability to roll-up his or her  sleeves and develop software, support the IT infrastructure, support the SCPC staff and manage 3rd party IT vendors
Major Responsibilities
1.      Deliver IT software capabilities to support business operations.  This includes enhancing existing web site and other strategic software applications and creating customizations to MS CRM Dynamics
2.      Provide (or work with 3rd party) “Help Desk” IT support to SCPC staff for all of their IT needs.  This includes IT training; generating reports; supporting laptops, desktops and software applications
3.      Provide (or work with 3rd party) IT operations support for the SCPC back-office IT infrastructure.  This includes support for IT network, security, server maintenance installing software patches and backups
4.      Manage 3rd party IT vendors
5.      Project manage the complete life-cycle of IT initiatives – from business requirement gathering through implementation and rollout
6.      Advise executive team on emerging IT trends and issues that might impact SCPC business strategy and business operations
7.      Develop and execute annual IT budgets
8.      Take a long term view of what IT must do to effectively and efficiently enable SCPC business operations
Required Qualifications
  1. College degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
  2. Minimum 5 years experience in software development and/or network engineering
  3. Minimum 2 years experience in many of the following: DotNetNuke, MS CRM Dynamics 4.0, JAVA Scripting and other web technologies, SQL, SQL Server Reporting services, MS SharePoint
  4. Proficient in MS Office and tools
  5. Demonstrable experience translating business requirements into technical requirements
  6. A strong work ethic and desire to excel
  7. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with 3rd party vendors
  8. Must have excellent documentation skills
  9. Self-starter and results oriented who can work in a rapidly changing environment, tolerate ambiguity, and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight
  10. Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, project/task prioritization and schedule development
Desired Qualifications
  1. 3 years experience in IT vendor management
  2. Proficient in Business Process design
  3. Proficient in IT Security
  4. Licensed in Network support (ie: MCSE, CCEA, MCSA, MCP, CCA, N+, A+)
  5. Experience managing multiple and concurrent mission critical IT projects
