Sterling Commerce Announces Sterling TMS Carrier Mobile App now Available on App Store - Sterling Commerce
New App Accelerates M-Commerce Adoption in the Transportation Industry Supply Chain by Providing Anytime, Anywhere Access to the Industry’s Largest Carrier Network via iPhone

Columbus, Ohio – Mar. 16, 2010 – Sterling Commerce®, anAT&T Inc (NYSE:T) company, today announced its Sterling TMS Carrier Mobile App is now available on the App Store. The app enables shippers and carriers to optimize their relationships by responding to tenders and providing real-time shipment status using iPhone®. This application works with Sterling Transportation Management System (TMS), the industry’s largest on-demand TMS application, offering a collaborative logistics network of more than 8,500 carriers transacting more than 8 million shipments per year.
“Shippers and carriers continue to seek new ways to decrease the time and effort involved in handling shipping requests,” said Cory Wiegert, vice president, Applications Product Line, at Sterling Commerce. “Extending the reach of Sterling TMS to iPhone will enable these companies to interact at a new level and reap the rewards of increased collaboration.”
Several customers are already working with Sterling TMS Carrier Mobile, including Allen Lund Company Inc. and Chemlogix LLC, through the Sterling Commerce “Collaborate to Innovate” program. Under this program, Sterling Commerce is working with customers to define their mobile needs, most valuable use cases and enterprise mobile strategies as part of its mobile applications development. To date, the company has introduced six mobile applications.
