Ohio Capital Fund backers hope life doesn’t end at 40 - Business First of Columbus:

Jeff Lamb knows well what it takes to bootstrap a company from the idea stage on up – and he prefers getting help.

Lamb in the late 1990s created Computer Wizards Consulting, a business he sold just before the dot-com bust early last decade.

“It was unbelievably stressful and it took a lot of luck,” he said of building the company.

In his latest venture, Lamb looked for financing help in the form of venture capital. He’s the founder and chief technology officer of Columbus-based QStart Labs, which has become self-sufficient in two years thanks to a financial boost from the state of Ohio.

Specifically, Lamb’s e-commerce development company got funding via the Ohio Capital Fund, which funnels money to needy companies through venture capital firms.
