ContractorID - New managing partner

Columbus, Ohio, United States, 10/1/2009 - Mike Leibrand, co-founder of Hilliard-based Ares Sportswear and Dyenomite Apparel, has joined ContractorID LLC as a managing partner and investor. ContractorID LLC is a web-based staffing portal that provides a direct forum for IT contractors to get exposure to organizations needing their services and for same organizations to tap into the IT contractors' market without incurring the cost of an intermediary. Leibrand, a recognized entrepreneur, has built two multimillion-dollar apparel businesses over the last 15 years and is also on the Edwards Group of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Board of Advisors. No other terms of the deal were given.

ContractorID LLC changes the the staffing industry by giving IT contractors a community where they can post their credentials, availability and rates to all interested organizations. Unlike traditional staffing companies, it gives existing and aspiring IT contractors the ability to maximize exposure with no risk. This revolutionary concept allows them to market themselves directly with no chance of losing an assignment due to a staffing company's poor negotiating and prohibitive fees. Companies seeking to staff contractor positions are now able to "buy direct" and cut out the staffing firms and their associated fees. It was co-founded by James Mazotas and Moez Chaabouni, veterans of the Columbus Ohio technology industry. In the nine months since its launch, ContractorID has acquired over 1,000 contractors covering 42 countries worldwide.


“Mike Leibrand brings a new and fresh dimension to the management team. He has ideas that open up a lot of possibilities for us," Mazotas said in a statement. Mazotas also has a history of successful startups, having recently sold his company Plannet Group to Careworks Technologies. Chaabouni, a Columbus-based IT executive and partner in other technology startups, adds "Coming from outside the technology industry, Leibrand brings a different skill-set to our management team. I think his unique perspective is necessary to create the paradigm-breaking business we aim to build."

Leibrand states, “The staffing business is rapidly growing, especially in the IT markets. We see ContractorID as a player that will change the rules and challenge ‘traditional’ approaches to staffing. We will create a revolution in a business that has been stagnant for the past 30 years.”
