XXX., is among the most experienced managed healthcare companies serving patients who have traditionally faced barriers to quality healthcare-including individuals covered under Medicaid, the Healthy Families Program, the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and other government-sponsored health insurance programs. XXX has health plans in California, Michigan, New Mexico, Missouri, Utah, Ohio, Texas and Washington as well as 19 primary care clinics located in Northern and Southern California. The company's corporate headquarters are in Long Beach, California.
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution and management of project support activities including implementing small to medium business projects and/or segments of projects that are moderately or highly complex often with a technical component. 
        Initiating projects by documenting the project scope including goals, objectives, milestones, deliverables and obtaining approval of the project sponsor.
         Planning projects by defining tasks, establishing due dates and assigning task responsibilities.
         Executing projects by leading and directing the work of the project resources.
         Monitoring and controlling projects by measuring progress according to plan and making course corrections as needed to keep the project on track.
          Providing interim reports and keeping the project sponsor and stakeholders informed of progress and risks.
        Concluding projects by gaining acceptance of the final product and documenting lessons learned.
        Completing projects on schedule and within budget by managing resources, mitigating risks and removing barriers.
        Ensuring project quality and consistency by adhering to project management standards.
         Maintaining productive relationships with Plan administrative and operational departments and other project stakeholders.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Preferred
  
Experience: Relevant project management experience preferably within the managed care or healthcare industry. Highly developed quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. Proficiency with project management software, MS Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Consultative and management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task to complete multiple projects on a timely manner. Strong customer focus and service orientation. Ability to effectively work between business and technical areas to achieve goals and objectives set forth by senior leadership.
  
Licensure/Certification: PMI certification.
