TechLife Community Builder - Tom Williams




Bio:

Tom Williams founded InnoGage, LLC in after sensing a tectonic shift with the onset of Web2.0. Tom broke from traditional passive marketing knowing that Social Media would force companies and institutions to Innovatively Engage (aka “InnoGage”) their customers, influencers and decision makers in the marketing and recruiting process.

Tom holds a BS degree in Finance from The Ohio State University and a MBA in Marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences and on webinars. Tom is on the Board of ReNew Partnerships, a local Christian Ministry Not-for-profit, a church volunteer and on the leadership team of the Columbus MBA Club. Tom and his wife, Sarah, have been married 10 years and have two little boys.


What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about entrepreneurship and building sustainable value. I firmly believe that the ability for the United States to remain an economic power in the decades to come rests firmly within our entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take huge risks in exchange for unlimited possibilities.

What's are the most played songs in your ipod?

I actually listen to a lot of music but my favorite Genres are Jazz (Miles Davis) and Alternative / Punk.


Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Elyria Ohio about 30 minutes SW of Cleveland.


Are there any nonprofits that you volunteer your time to?

ReNew Partnerships

I am a board member with the Not-for-profit ReNew. ReNew is a Christian organization who’s mission is to help churches become more multi-cultural and diverse.

Grace Brethren Church

I also volunteer at our local church (Grace Brethren) teaching 4 and 5 year olds about the Bible on Wednesdays and music on Sundays.

Columbus MBA Club

This is a group of MBA alumni who get together for learning and networking 3-4 times per year in Columbus. Schools represented include Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, U of Chicago, Duke, MIT-Sloan, Tepper, Ohio State and others.


What events have you organized?

I help to organize the Columbus MBA events that take place about every four months.

These usually consist of a powerful speaker, food, drinks and networking.
