Branding Me on Social Media
Vs.
By Sandy Blanquera
Consider these two images. Would one image make you more likely to “click” at a social site? Perhaps one image tells you more about the person. There is a movement by employers and recruiting firms to view your brand. And individuals as well as social communities are scrutinizing your brand. Have you considered whether social media is bringing you closer to what you want in life or whether it is hindering you? Do your posts reflect a high level of ego vs. sharing with the community? Do they reflect that you are real and personable, or do they look more like a cold encyclopedia of business references? Perhaps they tell people that you are an emotional rollercoaster.
Ultimately, building a brand for YOU is essential for people to understand who you are and where you are going in your life. So, as you post to your social communities, you may want to consciously build your brand. I found this great e-book (free) that gives some insightful information on how to do that.

Great post. Nice link. Oddly timely almost like you were reading my mind. Thanks and keep up the great efforts.
This is a terrific article. I've made every effort to build my own personal brand. The conversations you have online are all about building relationships with people, not with your company. That transition happens through the relationship building process. It's about who knows you, not who you know.
First and foremost, I try to keep my usernames and signatures as TrishaRJackson. This way, I'm transparent and people can put a name with a face even faster if I meet them in person.
Google yourself to get a gauge on how you're doing.
