COLUMBUS, Ohio — Your mobile phone can now help you find food.
Sometimes you are not always looking for a specific restaurant, but a certain type of cuisine and an Ohio State University graduate launched an application to help you find your next meal, 10TV's Andy Hirsch reported on Tuesday.
The application is called Foodspotting.

People who have liked a certain dish upload a picture along with information on where to find it.
The app lets you enter the food you are craving and the city you are in, Hirsch reported.
"You can actually see pictures of the foods that are all around you," said Foodspotting inventor Alexa Andrzejewski. "First of all, you can just turn it on and discover something. If it was integrated into your GPS, you could see pictures of foods along your route and you could say, 'Oh that looks good. I think I will pull over and get one.'"
People who sign up for the iPhone app can award blue ribbons to the foods they like the most, Hirsch reported.
