Out and about in Columbus Technology - CodeMash, TechColumbus, Sterling Commerce
A huge shout out to all the organizers and sponsors of the incredible CodeMash conference last week in Sandusky (Joe and the EdgeCase team, Pillar, Quick, Sophic, ICC, HMB, LeanDog software to name a few) ..if you're in software development you owe it to yourself to make it to CodeMash 2011
Here's a link to the CodeMash site and some of the presentations form the conference:
Saw Ray Shealy (ex HTP President) at Home Depot and was reminded that both he and Bob Irwin (Sterling) are now on the TechColumbus board. I'm excited to see what fresh perspective and energy he and Bob bring to TechColumbus

Congrats to Sterling Commerce for having landed Target - Sterling Commerce has been chosen by Target Corp to help upgrade the retail giant’s e-commerce Web site. Target announced that Sterling has been chosen to boost the global visibility of its inventory and to run cross-channel order management (the processes that link online, store and back-end functions). The new site is expected to launch prior to the 2011 holiday season.

Is the hiring market opening up? My recruiter friends tell me that things seem to be opening up. Slow but steady
