Platform Lab adds two IT Security tools to Cloud offering Platform Lab, the national value leader in private cloud technology, adds key IT security resources to our Cloud offering: HoneyPoint from MicroSolved, Inc. and Acunetix from Jacadis. MicroSolved, Inc., a Columbus-based partner, will be providing their revolutionary threat-detecting product, HoneyPoint Security Server to help Platform Lab clients test cloud computing applications and assist in securing their cloud computing service. The HoneyPoint Security Server module will be available to all Platform Lab clients for both virtual and physical environments for $100/week. The ingenious HoneyPoint Security Server, provides “fake” services on systems. These services then lie in wait for attackers and malware to probe them. When someone, or something, does interact with the service, all transactions are recorded, including their source IP address and timeline. Users are then alerted to the activity and can take defensive actions as needed.
