TECHie Camp 2010 Kicks Off!!!

Dear TECH CORPS Friends,

Last week we kicked off TECHie Camp: 2010 with elementary school Robotics at the TECH CORPS Ohio lab! This week elementary students are having awesome experiences in Web Development at The Ohio State University and students at All Saints Academy have realized that building and programming their OWN robots is pretty COOL!!!

This is what one of our All Saints Academy students had to say in her blog:
"Today, I was building a mini rover. It was very fun. My partner and i worked very hard. Today is the best day ever. My partner and i had fun. i LIKE THE MINI rover because I got to control it. it was the best day ever."

This IS what TECHie Camp is all about!!! Putting students in the role of creating and designing with technology—not just using and consuming it.
