What is Stir Trek?

Stir Trek was held on May 8th, 2009 and had over 400 registrations. We had two tracks of content, each with 5 presentations in separate theaters at the Marcus Cinema. The event was an attempt to bring the content of Microsoft's Mix '09 conference to the web development community of Columbus, OH. The other focus of the event was to have a one day event that ended with the first major blockbuster movie of the Summer - Star Trek. That's how we came up with the name - "Stir" is a play on "Mix" and "Star Trek".

What is Stir Trek: Iron Man Edition?

Stir Trek: Iron Man Edition is our sequel for 2010. Ths time we're stirring web and mobile technologies together to present a fun day of learning in the comfort of a movie theater. There will be four tracks of sessions, lunch, a raffle with some significant prizes, and a private screening of the new Iron Man 2 movie, which opens in theaters the day of the event - May 7th, 2010.

What Does It Cost?

In order to cover the significant costs of a large scale event like this one, there will be a $25 fee for attendance. This will be the best $25 you spend this year, however. Take a look at what you get.

Are There Other Ticket Types Available?

This year we're pleased to offer one event admission with two tickets to the movie for $35. This is the result of feedback from 2009's Stir Trek event where many attendees wanted to have their significant others show up to watch Star Trek after the sessions ended.

We're also offering a special ticket type for attendees that can't accept gifts. The price is still $25 but opts you out of freebies, prize drawings and the movie
