Open position - LAN/WAN Administrator

We are currently looking to fill an open LAN/WAN Administrator position at our Columbus, OH headquarters location on Reed Road between Bethel and Henderson.  The primary focus of this position will be engineering and support of our network infrastructure, however the ideal candidate will have a broad range of IT Infrastructure skills, will be a champion of and technology mentor to our internal customers and team members, and will love working with current technology solutions which enable our engineers and architects to efficiently do what they do - design the real-world infrastructure systems that provide comfort and convenience every day to millions of people.

Responsibilities:
Installs and maintains operations of Network equipment.  Recommends and implements LAN and WAN policies and standards and ensures adherence to security procedures.  Performs LAN/WAN troubleshooting, maintenance and setup involving many diverse LAN/WAN components including media, hubs, switches, routers, gateways, NICs and other infrastructure components.  Provides workstation interface support for all LAN and WAN equipment.  Monitors systems' performance and configures components or suggests upgrades as appropriate.  Ensures the protection and security of company data and information including business continuation capabilities.  May provide to and assist in training of other personnel.  Other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.

Experience:
B.S. Degree in related area and minimum of 5 years experience in computing systems and networking is required.  Prefer 8 - 10 years related technical experience.

Supervision:
Works with limited supervision.  Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to general results expected.  Consults with supervisor on complex problems and issues.
