This year, TECH CORPS Ohio will more than double the number of programs we offer and students we serve. With the support of folks like you, we will recruit, train and support tech-savvy volunteers who will engage in TECH CORPS programs around Central Ohio - as a result nearly 1,000 K-12 students will increase their understanding and knowledge of how to use technology to expand their learning and acquire new technology skills critical to a successful future!

As a TECH CORPS volunteer, you’ll gain the satisfaction of knowing that your time and expertise are making a significant contribution to the education of today’s children. You’ll see how sharing your technological know-how can help students raise their school achievement levels and acquire life and workforce skills to help them succeed in the future.

Volunteers are recruited and matched with the right settings, according to their expertise and wishes in combination with program needs. Volunteers and school/site teams attend an Orientation Meeting on October 15, 2009 @ 5:30pm (dinner will be provided). During this meeting, volunteers and their school/site team explore strategies for collaboration, identify common needs and resources and develop a Project Plan outlining activities. Volunteers assist throughout the school year and give as much time as their schedules allow. Daily, weekly or monthly – it’s up to the volunteer.
